Mower Deck Bounces
Q: My mower deck bounces on rough terrain. Can this be corrected?
A: Yes. The deck can be balanced for "bounce," or ease of lifting with the foot lever, by the simple adjustment of an eyebolt controlled heavy spring located under the seat. Tightening the spring will allow the deck to be raised with ease, but may introduce bounce. Conversely, loosening the spring will lessen bounce, but may make the deck a bit harder to raise. The trick is to balance deck lift weight and bounce to be acceptable to the individual operator for his/her strength.
